Hey Human,
Hope all is well.
It's been in my head from past few days, a recurring question about the difference between love and lust. Whether both, coexist together or they both are entirely independent....
I think, where there is love ( between a man & woman/woman & woman/ man & man) lust is bound to follow. But do you think, where there is only lust, love will follow too?? Hmmmm may be sometimes right? I guess so.
Do we love for lust or lust makes us love people... It's really confusing when you think about it...
I always thought, lust is different from love. But nowadays my thoughts are in a state where, I am feeling there is a connection. May be 'like'( which is a first level approval from our heart) will follow lust. When you like someone, lust follows automatically. I am not telling that's bad, but agreeing to the fact that lust is not a sin feeling. It's quite real. It's an emotion, which sometimes saves the relationship. But when there is only lust, the relationship survives but not for long. We move on to other people after all lust is all about appearances.
In Love, the equation of it, is different. When we love for real, we pretty much give up everything and crazyly fall into that person's thoughts. Of course, lust will follow, but the passion is different when love is involved in it. The lust will have greater meaning, when it's with love. Lust will be safe when it's love.
With only lust, there will be an endless craving for that person's body. May be once it's satisfied, lust along with little bit of 'like' also disappears. May be sometimes it takes pretty much time to get over with it. But lust turning into an intense love, is hardly seen.
What do you think? Can you love a person without lust? Do you think about love before lust or vice versa? Do you think lust is bad and people should avoid it? Can love and lust be equally divided and the combination can be given to a single person throughout a lifetime?? Let me know ....
Whatever said, all the above thoughts are mine and who am I to tell what's what...After all I am just a mere common commoner.
Yours truly,
TCC
